Solera lampholder adapters: conversion direction and limits
Solera adapters change the lamp interface: AD40-27 from E40 to E27, AD27-14 from E27 to E14, and AD14-10/AD27-10 to GU10 from E14/E27. Distinguish the input cap, which fits the existing lampholder, from the output socket that receives the lamp.

Selecting the component
A cap adapter does not transform voltage or replace an LED driver, ballast or transformer. Check the lamp supply, additional space, heat dissipation and every component’s limits. For AD14-10 and AD27-10, confirm exact compatibility if using a GZ10 lamp: the table uses the GU10 output stated in the technical data.
Selection must respect the voltage, current, power and thermal conditions of both the component and the luminaire. Disconnect the supply before installation or replacement and follow the manufacturer’s instructions; a matching lamp cap alone does not validate the complete assembly.
Frequently asked questions
Does conversion work in both directions?
No. AD40-27 fits E40 and receives E27; it must not be interpreted as reversible. The same principle applies to the other adapters.
Does the adapter change the supply voltage?
No. It adapts the cap interface; the lamp must be compatible with the voltage and existing supply circuit.
Can any LED with the new cap be installed?
No. Check voltage, actual power, dimensions, temperature and control gear. Respect the most restrictive limits of the complete assembly.
