MCM S24 6kA

S24 6kA MCBs: S24 modular MCBs with 6kA breaking capacity for everyday circuit protection.

  • Breaking capacity: 6kA for standard modular installations.
  • Curve: C curve against overloads and short circuits.
  • Series: S24 format for organised DIN-board mounting.
  • Use: lighting, sockets and general low-voltage circuits.

S24 6 kA MCBs: DIN-rail formats and references

Solera S24 6 kA miniature circuit breakers provide thermal and magnetic protection against overloads and short circuits in AC circuits. The published range includes 1P, 1P+N, 2P, 3P and 4P devices with curve C. They are options for lighting, socket and distribution circuits in residential and commercial boards where the installation design allows a 6 kA breaking capacity.

Selecting an S24 6 kA reference

The published S24M formats cover ratings from 6 to 63 A, while compact S24MM1N versions include ratings up to 40 A; not every current rating is available in every format. Select the current rating to suit the circuit and conductor, then confirm poles, voltage, trip curve and available board space.

The six examples in the table specify 35 mm DIN-rail mounting and 50/60 Hz. One-module and two-module 1P+N devices require their own terminal arrangements to be checked. Use the mounting instructions and the individual product specification to verify wiring, connections and accessories.

Frequently asked questions

How do S24MM1N16 and S24M1N16 differ?

Both are 1P+N, 16 A, curve C, 6 kA and 230 V AC. S24MM1N16 occupies one module and S24M1N16 occupies two. Their width difference does not establish identical terminal positions or compatibility with the same connection busbar.

When is a 6 kA breaking capacity sufficient?

When it is appropriate for the prospective short-circuit current at the installation point and the declared device conditions. Building type and rated current alone are insufficient to decide; evaluate the 10 kA range if a higher breaking capacity is required.

Can any pin-type busbar be used?

The example specifications permit pin-type busbar connections. This does not validate every busbar: check pitch, poles, neutral arrangement, current rating and connection conditions in the documentation for both components.
