Ybox boxes with injected gasket for electrical connections

Solera Ybox boxes are surface-mounted thermoplastic enclosures with an injected gasket for housing electrical connections. The catalogue includes grey and black versions with and without cones, and references carrying the AENOR N mark. Check entry type, internal dimensions and compatible accessories when selecting a box.

Variants and selection characteristics

Examples include Y715 with cones and Y815P without cones. The Y815P sheet specifies 110 × 110 × 60 mm external dimensions, 100 × 100 × 55 mm internal dimensions, IP65 protection, IK08 impact resistance and UV resistance. It has pre-scored entries and quarter-turn cover screws without springs. These specifications apply to that reference; check other variants separately.

The gasket contributes to sealing, while the final protection also depends on entries and installation. Allow space for conductors and connections and keep the lid accessible. Do not assume grey and black versions have identical dimensions without checking their sheets.

Internal equipment and fixing

Y815P accepts terminal blocks and a DIN rail, neither included. Its accessories list SOP-715Y for external wall fixing and SOP-716Y for wire mesh tray fixing. Select the support using its purpose, compatibility and the proposed fixing method.

Frequently asked questions

Does every Ybox have the same IP rating?

The injected gasket identifies the range, rather than a single IP rating. Consult each model’s sheet; Y815P declares IP65. Also check entry and closure conditions.

Are terminal blocks and a DIN rail included?

For Y815P both are optional and not included. Suitability for fitting them does not mean they are supplied. Check the contents of your selected reference.

Which support is used for a wall or wire mesh tray?

SOP-715Y is listed for external wall fixing and SOP-716Y for wire mesh tray fixing. Confirm box compatibility and installation instructions before mounting.
