BYCLA: trailing sockets and plugs for different conditions
BYCLA includes 2P+E plugs and trailing sockets rated 16 A, 250 V~ for cable assemblies. Black rubber and white elastomer versions are available. Plugs have a dual earthing system; trailing sockets have side earth contacts.
Choose the IP rating and cable entry system first. Data sheets allow 3×2.5 mm² cable and screw terminals. The manual distinguishes the hinged cable clamp on CK versions from the cable gland on 706TK and 707TK, which has its own assembly procedure.

How do CK, 5700 and TK versions differ?
706CK/707CK are IP20; 5706CK/5707CK are IP44; 706TK/707TK are IP54. White B variants retain the IP rating shown in the table.
Does every BYCLA component have dual earthing?
Dual earthing applies to the plugs. Trailing socket data sheets specify side earth contacts. Check both components against the intended connection system.
Are these prewired extension leads?
These references are plugs or trailing sockets for wiring. Select a suitable cable, connect the protective conductor and secure the outer sheath using the retention system specified in the manual.
