Indubox junction boxes for cable connections

Indubox junction boxes provide space for electrical joints and branches inside an IP65 enclosure. Selection depends on usable internal volume and conductor arrangement rather than a distribution board’s module count. Different sizes are available, including the 819TP version with a transparent lid for visual inspection requirements.

Check usable space and cable routing

Compare internal dimensions, cable quantity and cross sections, the connection layout and space for cable bends. For example, 818A and 818B share a 215 × 200 mm external width and height but have depths of 140 and 95 mm respectively. Establish which terminals or assembly parts are included and which must be added. Specify entries and seals using the selected model’s installation instructions.

Is a junction box the same as a distribution enclosure?

No. Choose a junction box by the usable space for cable joints, terminals and branches. A distribution enclosure is also selected by capacity for modular devices. Choose according to circuit function and the components the enclosure will house.

How do the dimensions of 818A and 818B differ?

Both references have external width and height of 215 × 200 mm. The 818A is 140 mm deep and the 818B is 95 mm deep. Also compare internal dimensions and space for cable bends when planning the connections.

Is there an Indubox junction box with a transparent lid?

Yes. Reference 819TP has a transparent lid, which can support visual inspection of the interior. Check dimensions, entries and compatible components in the technical sheet to establish whether it suits the proposed assembly.
