Solera splice connectors and heat-shrink tubing

This Solera range combines CTR splice terminals, TBR heat-shrink tubing and BOLTBR assortments. CTR references are selected by conductor section; tubing is selected by diameter and recovered dimensions. Their functions are complementary: a connector establishes the joint, while tubing covers a compatible element using the specified heating process.

Selection and installation

Do not confuse cable section in mm² with tube diameter in mm. Check the diameter needed to slide tubing into place and its fit after shrinking, as well as length, application temperature and material compatibility. Black and transparent versions are finishes; colour alone does not establish UV protection, and not every tube provides a hermetic seal or IP rating.

Respect electrical limits and the instructions for the reference and receiving equipment. Disconnect the supply before making connections; nominal section alone does not validate the assembly.

Frequently asked questions

How do CTR and TBR differ?

CTR identifies splice terminals for specified conductor sections. TBR identifies heat-shrink tubing for covering compatible elements. Tubing alone does not make electrical contact.

Which TBR sizes are published?

The 1 m references are listed in nominal diameters of 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 6, 8 and 10 mm, in black and transparent versions. Check recovered diameter and application process.

Is every splice terminal heat-shrinkable?

Do not infer this from category membership. Check the type, material and mounting method for the selected CTR, TTR or TBR reference.
