ION socket strips without cable: outlets, switches and finishes
ION socket strips without cable use screw terminals for the incoming connection, following the assembly manual. The twelve references have 2–6 shuttered 2P+E outlets rated at 16 A, 250 V AC. They provide indoor connection points near desks, furniture and work areas where the supply connection needs to be prepared.

Applications and selection criteria
PIL and PILNG references add an illuminated switch; the P and PNG references in the table do not have it. Graphite is listed for four outlets only. These models are supplied without a power cable.
The data sheets specify a removable cover, accessible terminals and mini-trunking entries for 7×12, 10×16, 10×20 and 12×12 mm. They also specify an included rubber cable grommet and mini-trunking cover. Follow the manual for wiring, cable retention and closing. Screw or cable-tie fixing holes do not establish flush mounting or inclusion of screws and ties.
The maximum is 3,680 W for the complete strip, with IP20 protection. Check the total load and supply, maintain the earth connection and follow the stated indoor conditions. Connection and maintenance require authorised personnel with power disconnected. The illuminated switch does not establish surge or overload protection.
Frequently asked questions
Does a cable-free strip include an extension lead?
It has no power cable. The specified rubber grommet and mini-trunking cover are not a cable or plug assembly. For a supplied 1.5 m lead, see ION 8012P–8016P and their PIL versions.
Can I recess the strip into a wall or furniture?
Mini-trunking entries and fixing holes do not establish approval for recessed installation. Follow the mounting instructions and check access, wiring and plug clearance. Without cable does not mean suitable for concealed mounting.
Is graphite available with any outlet count?
The published graphite references are 8004PNG and 8004PILNG, both with four outlets. The latter has an illuminated switch. The two-, three-, five- and six-outlet references in the table are white.
