Metalbox accessories for adapting the box installation
Metalbox accessories help secure internal components and prepare surface installations of compatible boxes. Select by box reference, available space and accessory function; components are not universally compatible with every size or finish.
Perforated mounting plate and surface frames
- PL-MP28: perforated plate for securing components inside compatible boxes. Check fixing points, dimensions and equipment space requirements.
- ZO-MP14, ZO-MP28, ZO-MP42 and ZO-MP56: metal surface frames for the corresponding MP14, MP28, MP42 and MP56 boxes. Match the frame to the box model and follow the assembly instructions.
How to select an accessory
Start with the Metalbox flush-mounted distribution boxes or Metalbox Stile graphite versions. Then confirm accessory compatibility, visible finish and which components the box includes. A white surface frame should not be assumed to match a graphite finish; an identical module count alone does not establish compatibility.
Installation documentation
Consult Solera technical documents and the product reference’s data sheet for dimensions, fixings and mounting. A plate or surface frame does not itself increase the box’s IP rating or replace electrical protective devices. Check the ratings and operating conditions of the installed assembly.
Frequently asked questions
Is the PL-MP28 plate included in every box?
Do not assume this. Check the contents of the selected reference and distinguish included components from optional accessories.
Does every surface frame fit any Metalbox?
No. The frame must match the stated box model and be installed according to its instructions.
