Solera automatic cable reels: one or four sockets and automatic retrieval
Solera automatic reels retrieve the cable with an automatic mechanism. References 71251A and 74641A differ in socket count, cable length and type, and IP rating. Selecting an automatic reel also requires checking the permitted load and each model’s mounting and operating conditions.

Choosing a format
71251A has one 2P+E socket and 16 m of H05VV-F 3G1.5 mm² cable, arranged as 14+2 m. Its data sheet specifies a wall mounting support. 74641A has four covered 2P+E sockets and 15 m of H05RR-F 3G1.5 mm² cable; its description provides for floor fixing. The first model’s support and mounting conditions must not be assumed for the second.
Permitted load and indoor use
The 16 A rating of the connections should not be converted into one common power rating for the range. The permitted load applies to the complete assembly and depends on the reference and cable condition. Solera’s general instructions require the cable to be fully unwound before connection to the supply. The data sheets specify indoor domestic and commercial applications. The IP44 rating of 74641A does not establish suitability for every environmental exposure and does not apply to the IP20-rated 71251A.
Automatic cable reel questions
Does automatic retrieval allow use with the cable partly wound?
The retrieval mechanism does not remove thermal restrictions. The general instructions require the cable to be fully unwound before connection to the supply.
Do both models have a wall bracket?
71251A specifies a wall mounting support; the description of 74641A provides for floor fixing. Consult the mounting instructions for the selected reference.
Do four sockets provide four times as much power?
No. The total connected load must stay within the limits of the complete reel and the supply.
