Sealed box assemblies: sockets and control components

Solera sealed box assemblies include references equipped with sockets or control components. They differ from empty boxes through their fitted devices. Select using function, socket count, poles, current and voltage to match installation requirements.

Catalogue configurations

The range includes 815-1 with emergency stop, 815-2 with one 2P+E Schuko socket rated 16 A and 250 V~, and 817-42P with four Schuko sockets. Reference 817-9 combines two Schuko sockets with one 3P+E CE socket rated 16 A and 400 V~. Other references, such as 816PR1P160, incorporate a 160 A neutral disconnector.

These configurations serve different purposes. A socket, emergency stop and neutral disconnector are not interchangeable devices and do not individually provide complete circuit protection. Check the listed equipment and purpose of each reference.

Protection, entries and installation preparation

The catalogue lists IP54 Schuko sockets in several references. Do not assign IP65 to every assembly merely because it uses a sealed box: check the assembly’s protection and the fitted devices’ operating conditions. Also check cable entries, available connections and fixing method.

For a configuration absent from the catalogue, describe equipment, poles, voltage, current, entries and environment in a special assembly quotation request. Feasibility and specifications must be checked before selecting the proposed assembly.

Frequently asked questions

Are all equipped boxes IP65?

Do not assume this. The catalogue includes IP54 Schuko sockets and different devices. Check the rating declared for the equipped reference and its component conditions.

Does a neutral disconnector replace circuit protection?

No. Its purpose must be assessed using the product sheet and electrical design. A fitted disconnection component does not mean that every required protective device is included.

Can I request a different assembly?

Use the special assembly quotation request to propose one. Specify components, electrical characteristics and installation conditions so that feasibility can be assessed.
