Solera fixings: tie mounts, plugs, cable clips and markers

Solera fixings include saddle mounts for cable ties, anchoring plugs, cable clips and markers. SOT159 accepts ties up to 4.8 mm wide and SOT2516/50 up to 9 mm; both use screw fixing. Tie plugs, expansion plugs and markers have different purposes and selection dimensions.

Selection and mounting

Select anchors for the substrate material and intended mounting. For 9280638 and 9280834 tie plugs, distinguish maximum tie width from drill diameter. Check cable shape and outside dimensions for clips; GRAPA-1 specifies 3 mm flat cable. NUM2 and NUM3 sizes refer to conductor section in mm², not drilling diameter.

Frequently asked questions

Which mount suits a 7.6 or 8.8 mm wide tie?

SOT159 is limited to 4.8 mm; SOT2516/50 specifies up to 9 mm. Also confirm geometry, mounting and assembly conditions before selection.

Which drill sizes do tie plugs specify?

9280638 and 9280638G specify Ø 6 mm; 9280834 and 9280834G specify Ø 8 mm. All four are listed for ties up to 9 mm wide.

How do NUM2 and NUM3 differ?

NUM2 identifies cables of 1.5–2.5 mm² section; NUM3 covers 4–6 mm². They are markers and do not anchor a cable to the substrate.
