Domestic adapters: extra outlets, USB and travel formats

Adapters provide extra outlets or a connection to a compatible socket without an extension lead. Choose the socket count, earth connection, switching and combined load. 2P versions do not provide earth; travel formats must match the plug and destination socket.

The category also includes triple rubber socket blocks with terminal access and a fixing handle. These are wiring components rather than direct plug-in adapters or prewired extension leads. 5586OB and 5586OB/1 have three 2P+E outlets, 16 A 250 V~, covers and shutters, with IP54 and IP44 ratings respectively. French-system versions are listed separately: check each exact reference.

Frequently asked questions

Can another adapter be connected to 186F?

The 186F data sheet explicitly says not to connect it to another adapter. Avoid cascading products and respect the assembly and supply socket load limits.

How do the mains and USB limits of 860USBAC differ?

The mains socket is rated 16 A 250 V~, maximum 3,680 W. The USB output is specified at 5 V DC, 3 A and maximum 15 W; this must not be interpreted as 15 W guaranteed per port.

Is AV1 a universal travel adapter?

Its data sheet identifies a Schuko-to-British 2P+E format, 13 A 250 V~. Check input and output formats and appliance supply requirements before travelling; do not assume voltage conversion.
