BK-L and BK-L3P are black thermoplastic luminaire connection boxes rated IP20. BK-L is supplied empty, without a terminal block; BK-L3P includes a three-pole block with screw terminals. Both specify a press-fit lid and indoor domestic or commercial use.

Selecting the component
First decide whether an empty box or integrated terminal block is required. BK-L3P specifies a cable cross-section of 0.5 to 2.5 mm²; confirm conductor type, connections and installation space in its documentation. A press-fit lid does not make the terminals tool-free quick connections. IP20 does not establish protection against water, so the box must not be described as watertight.
Selection must respect the voltage, current, power and thermal conditions of both the component and the luminaire. Disconnect the supply before installation or replacement and follow the manufacturer’s instructions; a matching lamp cap alone does not validate the complete assembly.

Does BK-L include a terminal block?
No. Its data sheet identifies an empty box without a terminal block. BK-L3P is the terminal-equipped version.
Does BK-L3P have push-in connections?
The technical data specify screw terminals. The press-fit lid describes the enclosure closure, not the conductor connection system.
Does the box remove the luminaire’s earth connection requirements?
That cannot be inferred from the box insulation class. Observe the wiring diagram, markings and protective requirements of the luminaire and its components.
